Governance
Ethics and compliance issues are complex and overlapping – they need to be addressed through robust corporate governance

How GoodCorporation
can help
The effective functioning of the board is key to the success of any organisation. To ensure that the board and its committees are fulfilling their key roles and responsibilities, periodic reviews should be undertaken.
GoodCorporation works with companies to lead governance reviews which cover the following areas:
Board leadership
Structure and competencies
Communication
Monitoring and evaluation
Board effectiveness review
The design and effectiveness of governance structures in relation to ethics and compliance issues forms a critical part of GoodCorporation’s assessment work. In addition, we also carry out board effectiveness reviews, these involve:
the development of a tailored governance framework
review of governance documentation and annual reports
review of board and committee structures
review of board communication, agendas and minutes
decision recording and adoption process
implementation tracking
conclusion and recommendations in a detailed report
analysis of findings
face-to-face interviews with board representatives, senior executives and other stakeholders
Sports governance
GoodCorporation has worked with leading sports governing bodies to help strengthen and improve the effectiveness of their governance structure. We use our Sports Governance Framework to help governing bodies maintain the integrity of their organisations on and off the field.
The framework covers the broad spectrum of governance and management structures needed to ensure that good practice is applied throughout an organisation, instilling fairness and transparency in all its dealings to prevent misconduct.
Based on our business ethics frameworks, the Sports Governance Framework enables governing bodies to monitor how effectively their principles are being implemented and benchmark their success against other organisations.

Sports governance Framework
GoodCorporation’s Sports Governance Framework helps sports organisations ensure they have strong governance policies and procedures in place that work in practice. It provides a set of 66 responsible management practices that can be used as a checklist to design, embed or evaluate governance procedures.
The Framework encompasses key areas to ensure ethical and effective operations. It includes establishing a robust governance structure with clear accountability and compliance mechanisms, promoting transparency in activities, finances, and reporting, and upholding the integrity of sport at the core of all actions.
