Why is ESG training
for boards necessary?

Businesses today increasingly face both opportunities and challenges linked to emerging environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Whilst ESG considerations have become embedded in companies of all sizes and across all industries, it is the board that is increasingly being held accountable for managing these issues.

Given recent regulatory changes, such as the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, robust governance of an organisation’s material ESG issues is becoming a priority.

For board members, it is essential to remain well-informed and up to date on their company’s ESG-related issues and activities, not only to provide effective oversight of strategy and risk management, but also to ensure that the company can meet the rapidly changing expectations of investors, markets, and regulators.
