Expert led ESG training
for board members and directors
Increasing legislation, stakeholder expectations and societal pressure have led many boards and senior leadership teams to begin considering how best to manage and develop their oversight of ESG issues.
To aid organisations in this, GoodCorporation offers personalised, expert-led board training sessions on the essentials of ESG in business.
These sessions will provide valuable, tailor-made insights into how best to maximise the value of ESG opportunities whilst navigating the challenges ESG issues can present.

Why is ESG training
for boards necessary?
Businesses today increasingly face both opportunities and challenges linked to emerging environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Whilst ESG considerations have become embedded in companies of all sizes and across all industries, it is the board that is increasingly being held accountable for managing these issues.
Given recent regulatory changes, such as the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, robust governance of an organisation’s material ESG issues is becoming a priority.
For board members, it is essential to remain well-informed and up to date on their company’s ESG-related issues and activities, not only to provide effective oversight of strategy and risk management, but also to ensure that the company can meet the rapidly changing expectations of investors, markets, and regulators.

What does our training cover?

Sustainability and business ethics
Our training explores the on going transition from the dominant ideal of creating shareholder value to an emerging sustainability-centred model focused on generating value for all stakeholders. We examine the meaning of sustainability and its integration into corporate strategy in driving a new business model that creates both stakeholder value and profit.

The role of the board in ESG
ESG requires corporate governance oversight. Our training explores the role of the board in evaluating ESG impacts, risks and opportunities and the integration of ESG management into corporate strategy.

The integration of business and sustainability
We explore the evaluation of material environmental, social and governance issues, the development of a roadmap for implementation in addressing these material issues, and the KPIs and reporting metrics needed for board oversight.

The impact of the CSDDD on ESG management
The CSDDD places specific expectation on in-scope companies. Our training examines the board oversight needed to ensure compliance with these emerging expectations with insights into anticipated models of governance best practice.

Q&A session and discussion
The session is designed to be interactive. You are encouraged to engage our speakers in discussion about key issues or concerns.
