GoodCorporation developed and delivered a training course for a multinational manufacturing organisation on the methodology of human rights supplier assessments.
Designed for the organisation’s human rights ambassadors, the training raised awareness of international human rights issues and standards. It covered the evolution of legislation and the growing expectations of civil society.
Participants were trained to carry out a human rights assessment, with guidance provided on the the pitfalls to avoid.
Areas covered by the training included: –
- planning and defining scope,
- on-site assessment,
- analysis, reporting and prioritisation of risks, and
- monitoring of observations.
On completion of the training, participants were asked to conduct human rights assessments of their suppliers with support from GoodCorporation.
The training was based on concrete case studies drawn from GoodCorporation’s experience.
