Global code of conduct assessments for leading oil major
Business Ethics | read time: 1 min

GoodCorporation has worked with one of the world’s largest oil groups since 2001. Like many organisations in this sector it is geographically widespread, culturally varied, and located in some politically difficult regions and environmentally sensitive areas.
Applying our assessment methodology to the company’s code of conduct, we are able to evaluate how successfully the company’s code is being implemented in subsidiaries around the globe. In line with best practice, the code covers a wide range of responsible management practices including business integrity, labour standards, the environment, anti-corruption and human rights. We test how well the company’s practices and policies in these key areas are working. A detailed management report with recommended action points is then presented to the Ethics Committee. The results are benchmarked and monitored to ensure that standards are maintained enabling year-on-year comparisons and providing a global perspective on effective implementation.
GoodCorporation conducts 6-10Â assessments each year, providing a robust assessment and making recommendations as necessary to enable the organisation to understand how well its practices and procedures are working on the ground.
GoodCorporation’s methodology has enabled us to develop a clear picture of how our systems work on the ground and ensure that our management philosophy is applied across all our operations on a global basis.
